Editorial: America Works Act would boost manufacturing employment

Legislation being considered in the Senate would provide federal funds for training manufacturing workers and would establish a national credentialing system. The bill is modeled after an initiative at Forsyth Technical Community College that has proved to be effective, the editorial board of the Winston-Salem Journal writes. The bill "is a win for manufacturers; a win for schools like Forsyth Tech; and a win for employees," the board writes.
