Federal program seeks to train 100,000 new math, science teachers

UTeach -- a federally funded university program that trains educators of science, technology, engineering and math -- is expanding to 10 colleges. The program aims to fulfill the federal government's goal of training 100,000 more math and science teachers by 2022. Students who participate in UTeach earn an undergraduate degree in STEM and the credits necessary for a teaching certificate.
