Mass. EMR firm announces data breach

A data breach affecting 200 patients at six practices was announced by EMR provider Lawrence Melrose Medical Electronic Record. The breach occurred when an unauthorized employee improperly viewed the patients' EMRs. Compromised data included patient names, health insurance information and Social Security numbers.
