Mindful eating is gaining support as study data show it can be successful as a tool for weight control and to promote overall health and wellness. Registered dietitian Megrette Fletcher, co-founder of The Center for Mindful Eating, says RDs who want to add mindful eating to their practice strategies should begin by trying it themselves and noting how their own experiences could help their clients.
