Most community hospitals have not started their ICD-10 work

An Aloft Group study finds that 75% of community hospitals have not yet initiated their changeover to ICD-10 or are less than 25% of the way there. Nearly 50% of the respondents also said they aren't equipped to meet the Oct. 1, 2014, deadline. One expert ties the delay to overlapping federal mandates, including meaningful use and the move to accountable care.
