Pentagon may re-evaluate mission in Europe

The U.S. may scale back operations in Europe in light of recent budgetary woes, experts say. The Pentagon could save up to $500 billion over 10 years by allowing NATO allies to take the lead in securing the region, according to a report from the RAND Corporation.
