Petrochemical industry optimistic despite need for skilled labor

The North American energy and petrochemical sectors are expected to face a shortage of skilled workers -- a result of the excellent outlook for the energy and petrochemical industries. "We're opportunity-long and people-resource-short," says Peter Cella of Chevron Phillips Chemical. "We're looking for more diverse and experienced hires. These are jobs that require some level of technical competency. Most are going to be experienced people already working someplace else."
