Detroit hospitals aim to improve patient satisfaction

Detroit-area hospitals are retraining employees, improving menus and creating VIP lounges to improve patient satisfaction scores in advance of new Medicare rules that will factor such scores into determining payments. Henry Ford Health System has increased its scores by adding a new patient menu and room service, while St. John Hospital & Medical Center is improving its emergency department service.
