French researchers who examined the effects of abciximab administrations in STEMI patients during ambulance transport found early administration of the drug did not improve ST-segment elevation resolution or post-PCI TIMI flow rate, but it did have a positive effect on TIMI flow before PCI and limited distal embolization.
