Team at limb salvage center aims to prevent amputations

A multidisciplinary team at Temple University Hospital's Limb Salvage Center works together to prevent limb amputations in diabetic patients. Hospital endocrinologists, nephrologists, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, nutritionists and other specialists work with the team to provide comprehensive care at a single location, which data show can reduce amputation rates and cost of care.
