Baby steps on introducing allergens

Babies 4 months and older who have successfully tolerated a few nonallergenic solid foods, such as carrots and bananas, can begin to try foods with higher allergy rates, such as those made with wheat, which contains gluten, according to American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology guidelines. Registered dietitian Tamara Duker Freuman shares her experiences in introducing allergenic foods to her children.
