A day in the life of La Jolla High's principal


IN THE NEWS: La Jolla High School's Dana Shelburne talks about his campus and 18 years at the helm. The San Diego native believed he'd become a college professor one day but, in no rush, he worked in Antarctica, earned a second bachelor's degree and toiled as a gardener and bartender at a yacht club.
