Economists foresee a more measured spring

Economic growth and hiring might slow somewhat heading into spring, but it's not likely that companies will repeat the pattern of the past three years, when employers hired aggressively in the February-through-April period only to pull back when things slowed down in the summer months, economists say. "What's different about this year is that we are seeing some fundamental improvement," said Jacob Oubina, senior economist at RBC Capital Markets.
