FCC's Robert McDowell to exit agency in "a few weeks"

Federal Communications Commission member Robert McDowell, who joined the agency in 2006 and is the longest-serving current member, has announced he will leave in "a few weeks." The move "will allow Republicans in Congress to pair up a new nominee from each party if, as expected, FCC [C]hairman Julius Genachowski also exits the commission," John Eggerton writes.
