Volunteers from the nonprofit organization Nurture have partnered with schools in Idaho to teach students about healthy eating and nutrition. Through the program, school nutrition professionals prepare samples of healthy foods for students, including smoothies and vegetables. Other lessons include teaching students not to be fooled by packaging. Fruit Roll-ups, for example, contain only a small amount of fruit juice, students were told recently -- making an apple a healthier choice.
