Rich health benefits come at a cost, insurance group warns

Premiums on health insurance policies with the most expansive benefits are 47% higher than for less comprehensive policies, though deductibles are lower for the richer policies, eHealth Inc. said in a report. Though not a direct comparison to policies covering essential health benefits under the Affordable Care Act, the survey indicates premiums will be higher than many people now pay, said Bob Hurley, senior vice president of carrier relations at eHealth.
