Survey: Oracle, SAP reduce maintenance expenses for customers

The success of third-party providers of technical support has led Oracle and SAP to reduce their software maintenance prices by 5% to 25%, Constellation Research found in a survey of 184 companies with Oracle or SAP maintenance contracts. More than 60% of survey respondents said the existence of third-party support providers gave them an advantage in negotiating with Oracle and SAP.
