U.S. reportedly investigates alleged bribery by Microsoft partners

The U.S. Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission are looking into claims that business partners of Microsoft bribed foreign officials to increase software sales, sources say. The inquiry focuses on possible violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in China, Italy and Romania.
