IRS eyes use of churches to get out the vote

Churches risk running afoul of U.S. tax laws when they tie themselves to politicians and political causes. Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Penn., in a tough re-election fight, is engaged with groups seeking to use churches to help fight for legislative initiatives including nationally banning marriage for gays and lesbians.
