Food makers focus on healthier offerings

Companies including PepsiCo, Starbucks, Nestle and Kraft Foods are working to develop products with more attractive nutrition profiles -- for example, containing less sodium or trans fat. Baked goods at Starbucks are made without trans fat, high-fructose corn syrup or artificial flavor or color; PepsiCo is developing what this article terms "drinkable oat products" and lower-sodium salt.
