Apple sets date for end of UDID, non-Retina ready app submissions

Apple has set May 1 as the deadline for submitting any applications still using the UDID, Universal Device Identifier. After that date, Apple won't accept UDID apps nor any that don't conform to its Retina specifications and work on the 4-inch iPhone 5 display. In addition, Google and Apple have confirmed Google never submitted the Google Now app to Apple's App Store. "The app can access calendar information, as well as e-mail, news, and transportation feeds, among other data," Don Reisinger writes.
