SEC collects data on order types in preparation for analysis

The Securities and Exchange Commission is collecting data from national exchanges about order types and should be in a position to start analyzing the data by midyear, says Carlo di Florio, director of the SEC's Office of Compliance Inspections. The office is trying to detect patterns that might need further inspection, di Florio says.
