Senate rejects airport tower amendment

The Senate refused to consider an amendment proposed by Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., that would prevent some air-traffic control towers from closing due to federal budget cuts. The Federal Aviation Administration will announce Friday which towers will close on April 7.
