Editorial: Airlines should "ante up" for NextGen

With the FAA poised to invest billions more dollars in the NextGen air-traffic control system, "It's time for [airlines] to get on board" with installing the proper avionics in their cockpits, according to an editorial in the Washington Post. Airlines "will benefit from the implementation of NextGen and should ante up," the paper says, noting that some carriers -- notably Southwest Airlines -- already have agreed to do so.
