At least 15 states file petitions against EPA's GHG rules

At least 15 states have filed court petitions asking the Environmental Protection Agency to reopen hearings on its finding that greenhouse gases endanger human health and welfare. The states charge that the agency relied heavily on a U.N. report that overstated the extent of Himalayan glacial melting. About the same number of states have backed the EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions.
