Calif. officials plan for possibility of summer without nuclear plant

Energy officials in California are devising plans to mitigate potential energy shortages this summer if Southern California Edison's San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station remains offline for maintenance. The facility has been shut down since Jan. 31. Officials intend to use other sources for energy generation and persuade customers to cut back on energy use.
