Department of Education sees departures of top leaders

The U.S. Department of Education has seen an exodus of high-level leaders recently, including the resignation of David Bergeron, the education secretary's chief adviser on higher-education issues. Bergeron, who spent more than 30 years with the department, will be joining the policy think-tank the Center for American Progress. Other recent resignations include an assistant secretary and deputy undersecretary.
