Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski will today detail plans to resign next month, according to multiple reports, with former CTIA-The Wireless Association® President Tom Wheeler considered a leading choice to succeed him. That will leave the FCC with a pair of vacancies after Robert McDowell's decision to step down, as well. The next chairman faces challenges to the the agency's authority.
