Hungary's CrySyS identifies multi-nation cyberespionage ring

Security experts identified a sophisticated cyber spying ring that has been using malware to infiltrate targets in Eastern Europe and the Near East for at least a decade. The group, which researchers have called TeamSpy, used proprietary malware, booby-trapped websites and a remote access program known as TeamViewer, and it is linked to other cyberattacks, including an online banking fraud scheme known as Sheldon.
