Senate passes budget amendment to repeal device tax

A bipartisan amendment introduced by Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, has cleared the Senate in a 79-20 vote. The non-binding amendment, which will be attached to the Senate's budget resolution, aims to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund to help pay for the cost of repealing the medical device tax.
