Toshiba puts off introduction of fuel cell phone chargers

Toshiba has put off the release of its new, cleaner fuel cell battery chargers -- portable devices that do not need to be plugged into the wall -- from March to later this year, the company said, citing delays in obtaining parts. Toshiba has said it will embed its next direct methanol fuel cell product, which are considered greener and easier to replenish, into mobile phones and laptop computers.
