Will the FDIC allow pension fund investments in failed banks?

Speculation abounds over whether the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will loosen rules to make it easier for pension funds to invest in failed banks. Some pension funds, however, may be reluctant to make the investments because of a looming wave of anticipated commercial real-estate loan failures. The FDIC did not comment for this article.
