Report: Little government progress in hiring workers with disabilities

Only 0.88% of the government workforce was made up of employees with certain targeted disabilities in 2010, an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission report found, even though a presidential mandate called for agencies to increase hiring of people with targeted disabilities. The report said 554 new employees with disabilities were hired in 2010, but the numbers were still short of an EEOC hiring goal of 2%.
