U.K. firms bullish on unified communications, report finds

Unified-communications technologies -- including Voice over IP, videoconferencing and instant messaging -- are becoming increasingly popular with British enterprises, with more than three-quarters of U.K. firms involved in some form of UC strategy, according to a survey conducted by Vanson Bourne. The poll found that a majority of respondents cite increased efficiency as the main driver to adopt unified communications, with half saying they benefit the most from improved productivity and more flexible working conditions.
