Analysis: Tech companies vie for position in music streaming

Amazon, Apple and Google are reportedly in discussions with top executives in the recording industry on expanding their music-streaming services, Poornima Gupta and Ronald Grover write, citing sources close to the matter. Facebook and Twitter are also devoting more resources to online music services, they note. All this activity comes as Pandora, the leading music-streaming service, remains unprofitable.
