Apple makes it easier to spot free apps using in-app purchasing

Apple has added lines such as "offers free in-app purchases" in App Store listings. The move is likely a response to lawsuits and complaints that children using free applications have run up substantial bills buying virtual goods once inside. "For developers, increased restrictions and additional friction between customers and in-app purchases is obviously not a desirable outcome, and that means Apple likewise probably isn't crazy about the idea," Darrell Etherington writes.
