CEO notes progress in improving TVA's nuclear performance

Tennessee Valley Authority President and CEO Bill Johnson said his company is working to improve its performance and efficiency, but it is not as far along as he wants. He cited safety issues at the company's Browns Ferry plant in Alabama and cost overruns and delays at its Watts Bar Unit 2 reactor in Tennessee. "We are making progress. ... One of my objectives is to make it run and run well," he said.
