Dallas academy trains future administrators

Officials in Dallas have recruited educators for the district's School Leaders Academy -- in which those who are enrolled train for one year to become principals and assistant principals. The academy is designed to be a type of pipeline for the district to fill any principal openings. The program, in which those who are eligible compete for the openings, is part of a plan to improve the quality of the district's schools.
