Report: More than 10 cellulosic fuel plants to go online by 2014

At least 10 commercial-scale cellulosic biofuel plants, which together represent more than 20 million gallons of annual capacity, are expected to go online by next year, according to a report from a pair of researchers at the Bioeconomy Institute at Iowa State University. The projects include a 50-million-gallon-per-year Sundrop Fuels facility in Alexandria, La., and a 41-million-gallon-per-year KiOR project in Natchez, Miss.
