Utilities shouldn't depend on natural gas, Dominion CEO says

Power companies shouldn't rely too heavily on natural gas amid the domestic gas production boom, said Thomas Farrell, chairman, president and CEO of Dominion Resources. "If you want to see the price of natural gas rise ... replace our entire fleet, all coal, all nuclear, over the next 20 to 30 years; you're going to regret it," Farrell said. Separately, Farrell said Dominion's plan for a new nuclear plant in Virginia won't proceed unless it secures approval from state regulators.
