Amtrak maintains funding for FY 2013, service in Pa.

Amtrak is slated to receive around $1.3 billion given the recent approval by Congress of a spending plan for the rest of fiscal 2013. Meanwhile, the railroad reached a deal with Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett to continue the "Pennsylvanian" service. "This is an example of how partnerships between states and Amtrak can produce savings while maintaining service," said House Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster, R-Pa.
