Broadband is on the way in Navajo Nation

The Navajo Nation is completing a broadband network that cost about $46 million. The network will connect more than 30,000 households, 1,100 community institutions and 1,000 businesses. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration provided a stimulus grant of $32.2 million for the project, with the remainder of the funding coming from the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Wireless and Commnet Wireless.
