Clopidogrel in hip surgery not tied to major complications

No major complications were reported with the perioperative use of the antiplatelet drug clopidogrel in seniors undergoing surgery for hip fractures, according to a study presented at an orthopedic surgeons' meeting. The researchers reviewed information on 28 patients treated with clopidogrel and 30 controls.
