Fla. lawmakers spar over pension-overhaul plan

Florida's House has passed a measure calling for the closure of the state's pension system and the diversion of new public employees into a 401(k)-style plan. The state Senate, however, is resisting the overhaul. "I think it would be a cold day before we would change our position on this bill," said Republican state Sen. Wilton Simpson.
