Future cars likely to take aging driver population into account

With an aging North American population still sliding in behind the wheel, the next stage in auto safety is expected to take into account age-related driver limitations. But the technology, including seatbelts that adjust for an older body's changing structure to redistribute forces in a crash, are likely to be introduced only gradually to avoid the stigma of a car designed completely for oldsters.
