Mobile game development rises; console, Mac/PC interest remains

The annual Game Developers Conference is under way in San Francisco, and 58% of attendees said before the conference that they will develop their next game for smartphones or tablet computers, this blog post notes. Nearly half expressed an interest in Mac or PC games, while almost 31% are considering Web browsers for their next game platform. There still is significant interest in developing games for the various Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony consoles, the survey found.
