Olive oil substance puts up a fight against Alzheimer's

Researchers have identified a naturally occurring substance in olive oil that may offer some protection against Alzheimer's disease. The substance, oleocanthal, has been found to decrease the accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques that are believed to cause the disease while increasing the production of helpful enzymes and proteins.
