S.C. legislators support expansion of university telehealth program

The South Carolina House of Representatives included $8 million for the expansion of a telehealth initiative at the Medical University of South Carolina in its recently approved $22.7 billion state budget. Legislators expect the program's expansion to address some of the health problems in the state by offering specialized care to patients in rural areas.
