Filing urges FCC to ban DTV converters that block analog signals

The FCC should act to "prevent the marketing and distribution" of DTV converter boxes that block analog signals, according to a petition filed by the Community Broadcasters Association with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The CBA, in its filing, claims the All Channel Receiver Act requires devices that receive TV signals to be capable of obtaining "all frequencies allocated by the commission to television broadcasting." The FCC did not comment for this article.
