Budget framework with Obama's initiatives clears House hurdle

The House Budget Committee voted along party lines to approve a $3.45 trillion budget framework. The budget keeps intact many of the priorities set forth in President Barack Obama's proposed budget, including reform of the $2.5 trillion health care system. "The president's major initiatives -- those in health care, energy, education and the environment -- are all implemented," said committee Chairman Rep. John Spratt, D-S.C.
